Making Sustainable Specification Easier with new Environmental Product Declarations from Leviat

Architects, engineers and contractors now have access to a comprehensive range of Environmental Product Declarations (EPDs) from Leviat. 

These independently verified documents provide transparent and comparable information about the environmental impact of a product throughout its entire lifecycle, from raw material extraction to disposal.

Our latest set of Environmental Product Declarations include:

Ancon Masonry Support System
Ancon Windposts
Ancon Thermal Windposts
Helifix Remedial Products

These are in addition to our existing EPDs for Halfen HIT Thermally Insulated Connections and Halfen Cast-in Anchor Channel Systems. 

Our EPDs can be found on the Leviat and product brand websites. They are also published on the international database in the Environdec (www.environdec.com) and IBU (www.ibu-epd.com) public libraries.

An Environmental Product Declaration is a standardised document that communicates the environmental performance of a product based on a life cycle assessment (LCA). 

This assessment considers various environmental impacts, including:

• Resource Consumption: the use of raw materials, energy and water in all stages of the product life cycle
• Air & Water Emissions: emissions into the air and water as a result of the manufacture and transport of the products
• Waste Generation: Construction waste, packaging waste and end-of-life waste

By providing this comprehensive data, EPDs enable specifiers to compare products from different manufacturers on a level playing field and select those with a lower environmental impact.
