2024 Tilt-Up Convention to Feature Three Leviat Speakers

Leviat proudly announces its sponsorship of the upcoming Tilt-Up Concrete Association (TCA) Convention & Expo, taking place from October 9 to October 11, 2024, in Glendale, Arizona. Chris Hurd – “Engineering Energy Efficiency: Unlocking the Full Potential of Insulated Wall Panel Construction”

Chris Hurd, Leviat's Director of Engineering in North America, will discuss heat transfer, building codes, thermal bridging, and dew point considerations to help construction professionals can optimize the thermal performance of insulated wall panels and contribute to more efficient, environmentally conscious building practices.

Scott Collins – “Lifting and Bracing Safety”

Scott Collins, Chief Engineer at Leviat, will discuss essential aspects of lifting and bracing, such as proper planning, equipment selection, rigging techniques, communication protocols, and emergency preparedness. By following these guidelines, construction teams can effectively mitigate risks and maintain a safe working environment in tilt-up construction projects.

Kristopher Alamo – “Seguridad en el Levantamiento y Apuntalamiento”

Kristopher Alamo, Tilt-Up Engineer at Leviat, is delivering a Spanish-language track session covering lift and brace safety. Similar to Scott's presentation, Kristopher's talk will center on proper planning and execution to mitigate risks and maintain a safe work environment during the lift and braces processes on tilt-up construction projects.
