The Modern Slavery Act was introduced in 2015 and applies to all businesses that operate in the UK. Organisations such as Leviat, with an annual turnover of £36m or more in the UK, are required to produce an annual slavery and trafficking statement.
Leviat is part of CRH, the largest building materials business in the world employing approximately 71,000 people at 3,200 locations worldwide. Leviat complies with the CRH policy regarding the Modern Slavery Act and abides by the guiding principles of business set out in the CRH Code of Business Conduct; a copy of this document is available on request.
The full modern slavery statement, available to download below, confirms the steps we are taking to ensure modern slavery and human trafficking does not occur in our organisation and that of our supply chain partners.
