Purpose of the role

This role would suit an engineer who is looking to enhance their career with an international leader in providing construction accessories. You may be based in Sydney, Melbourne or Brisbane with some opportunity to work from home in line with our Hybrid Work Policy. 

Key responsibilities

  • The Structural Engineer is part of our technical team, integral to project work, manufacturing, and product development in Australia and New Zealand. In this role you will be
  • Provide technical support to other internal departments and external third parties.
  • Preparing lifting designs to meet all relevant Australian and New Zealand standards using recognised design principles and methods.
  • Carrying out continual reviews of standard products within the Ancon and other related product ranges to enhance ease of manufacture, product application and customer requirements.
  • Carrying out independent design and drafting checks to minimise errors and maintain quality.
  • Designing bespoke products and coordinate with the production department.

Experience required

  • Relevant degree.
  • High level analytical skills with demonstrated proficiency in fundamental engineering principles.
  • Proficiency in reinforced concrete design and an understanding of all relevant Australian design codes.
